CD/DVD emulation

As a gift I was given Sims 2 and after I had completed the installation I tried to load the game but it came up with the following message: CD/DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and re-start the game.

What do I do?

Hey,

If you have CloneCD, Alcohol 120% or something like that installed, uninstall it *entirely* and then try playing the game. This may include going through the registry and deleteing each individual reference to such products.

I use a cracked version of Alcohol 120%, and it doesn’t tell me that when I play, it just lets me. That’s becaue the warez ppl changed the program system file names so progs and games can’t pick them up or detect them (:-P).

Hey people i have to same stupid problem with sims2 i know this is a bit 2 late to reply but oh well. i have nero and alcohol 120% i have disabled the emulation on alcohol. but i dno how to do it on nero....including i dont know how to unistall it because i have nero start smart and nero express.
