TRE Guest | Well, I’m pretty much pissed off. I dont' know what in the hell is goin on, but I have had Fl Studio 4.5 for awhile and it has always worked, I installed the new version 5 and couldn’t get any audio to work, so then I loaded up version 4 and it did the same thing... I have uninstalled 5 three times and re-installed it hoping it would fix the problem. I don’t know what it is.. I can’t play the demo that comes w/ the program, none of the wavs from the packs work, I click on them and NOTHING. I have looked in MIDI and Audio settings but I don’t know what in the world is goin on there.. The midi is for output, does that even have anything to do w/ me trying to play one of the samples in the program? Cause under midi there is like a microsoft one, and like 8 YOKE ones to choose from, and then the box under it for port.. I dont' know what any of that is. I have never had this trouble before, so why now? AHHHHH
If someone can please help me out I would REALLY appreciate it. I would like to mess around w/ the new fruityloops, but it doesn’t look like it is goin to happen.. Please e-mail me at Tre2004@adelphia.net
Thanx
Chris

djcolors Guest | I have a problem quite similar to yours. I ha Fl Studio 4 installed on my machine. It worked fine and suddenly for no apparent reason it started crashing after every single saving as a wav, mp3 or midi format. I installed the lates version and the same problem occured.
What is the cause of my problem. Please can someone help me?

tre Guest | I fixed my problem, I doubt it is what is wrong w/ yours... BUT, Awhile back I had disabled allot of AUDIO Codecs and had forgotten that I had done it. So, I ended up goin to the “DEVICE MANAGER” Under system properties, and there you can check your audio codecs under “Sound, Video, AND Game Controllers” go to the properties for “AUDIO CODECS” and you can check which audio codecs you have installed, and you can highlight one, go to its properties and you can choose to use the codec or not, and you can also pick the order of the codecs.. I’m not REALLY sure what the order has to do w/ anything, but... it is there. I had whichever one that FL Studio uses disabled.. after I enabled it the problem was fixed. I hope you get your problem fixed..
Just curious, what kind of music do you make? Do you make any Rap, or Hip Hop? Cause I just know some of the basics for using Fruity Loops, and I would like to find someone that knows more about it, to get some tips or something.. or find a real good HOW TO guide or tutorial or something.. Do you know of anything like that? For making rap music?? I have found one awhile back that was for rave music or something, but I’m not interested in making that kind of music.
Something that sucks for me, A month or so ago, I really got down and tried to learn new things, and made some VERRY GOOD beats compared to what I have done in the past. And last week my hard drive died! I had to have the hard drive replaced and lost EVERYTHING. I had a bunch of Samples that I had found over time to add to the others... do you know anywhere to get some good samples or anything either?
I usually use Acronis True Image, and make a image of my hard drive. That way if anything happens you can go back to exactly where it was when you made the image. The thing that sucked was, at the time that I made the image I didn’t have any Dvd+R’s, so I just had the image on a different partition on my hard drive. I was able to use it several times, if something just happend to the OS or something, but I wasn’t able to use it this time, cause the whole hard drive went to shit! I’ve now got about 100 DVD+R’s, and I am now goin to be one backing up fool! It sucks to lose everything, & have to start over from scratch. I have finally gotten MOST of my programs and updates and all that good shit installed... about a week later!
But anyway, hope you get your situation fixed, if you know of any of the things I was asking about, please e-mail me at TRE2004@adelphia.net
I would REALLY appreciate it.
Thanx
