Regular Rep: 6 Joined: 20 Nov 2004 Posts: 1,286 | vob, bup, and ifo files are suggestive of a movie dvd. If you browse a movie dvd with windows explorer you’ll find those kind of files. To play the dvd you’d need dvd software (powerdvd, windvd, etc), or some alternate software (media player classic, videolan).
If you want to extract the data for editing, then it’s more complicated. You would need dvd software first, then you’d have to rip the dvd with a program like smartripper (the vob’s are generally encrypted, and ripping refers to copying the contents of the disc and decrypting it). After that’s done you can do further editing (clip, cut, etc) with a program like flaskmpeg or tmpgenc. |
