Entree Rep: 0 Joined: 22 Dec 2004 Posts: 1 OFFLINE | There’s this avi file that’s too large for my tastes, so I decided to demux the thing and make it smaller. But the problem is, that the audio is a really unknown format! All I know is that before I could view this file, I had to download the 3ivx codec(I hate that codec) to hear the audio.
The tag is 00FF-unknown. I tried transcoding the original audio to mp3, ac3, mp2, anything I could. I even tried savin it as a .wav to transcode, but the transcoding abruptly stops all the time. I used
BeSweet, LameDrop, and even ffmpeggui to try it.
Anyone think they can help with this strange audio? This really makes me hate whoever encoded this file.
Tnanks for whatever help comes
