Entree Rep: 0 Joined: 14 Mar 2008 Posts: 1 OFFLINE | When playing DVD’s in Media player v 11.0.5 (or any other software DVD player) I have started having problems where the soundtrack is entirely too loud but the dialogue is so soft as to be almost completely inaudible. It is as if the software is muting the dialogue in each DVD. This occurs regardless of which DVD is played. It also occurs regardless of which speakers I route the sound through. Rebooting has not solved the problem, and neither has on installing and reinstalling media player. The problem does not seem to occur for streaming video, just DVD’s. Could this be some squirrely setting in the registry that has gotten knocked out of kilter, or is my audio codec corrupt, or what?
