I have recently started downloading video files, and the ones i want are only available through .avi files, and neither of the programs on my computer will play them. what can i do to make the programs play them? or is there another program to have to be able to see them? I have RealOne Player and Windows Media Player. I am beyond confusion and frustration. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Please use some of the tools listed on this page to help you find the codec(s) you’re missing

If you have the codec but the file still won’t play, chances are it’s corrupt or truncated. In that case try playing it with avipreview.
