HELP, divx to disc errors !!! :(

Someone help me out here....
I reently bought a Phillips DVD player that will play the DIVX file burnt on a regular CDR.
I am burning them to quality blank CDRs using Nero and the ISO (data) method(as recommended by divx website) at 4x-8x speed (slow).
When I playback the newly made disc it plays until the last 10 minutes or so of the file and freezes up and then I get “Disc Error” message.
I then review the file once again on my PC and there is nothing wrong with the file. ???
Also, I can not FF or track forward, as I can do using the Divx player on my PC, on my DVD player, and solutions?
ANY solution to these ?s would be eternaly grateful for before I burn any more coasters, and any suggestions, such as better burning software etc. will be great.
