why won't the game run from ePSXe?

Hi,
i’m trying to get a PS2 game to work on my computer. I’ve done everthing suggested on this site, but when i try to run the game out of the virtual drive i created using ePSXe, all i get is a black screen and nothing happens. Does anyone have any idea why this is? Any help would be greatly appreciated
