CJPG = Creative JPG

These instructions work for Windows 2000, XP 32-bit, and Vista 32-bit. I also embedded instructions for Windows 95, 98, and Me.
If you have a 64-bit version of XP or Vista, get back to this thread and I’ll give you modified instructions.

- Go to http://www.creative.com. Click Support, Downloads.
- Click Web Cameras -> Webcam -> == Archived Products == -> Video Blaster WebCam Go Plus. Click Next.
- Click on “Search archives now”.
- Choose English, XP or 2000, Driver
- Click on Download Now
- Go to the bottom of the page, then click AGREE
- When the download finishes, run the file
- Click yes for the EULA prompt. Click Next TWICE ONLY. Then click Cancel, then Exit Setup. (You just want to extract the files - you don’t want to install the driver)
- Go to C:\WebCamGoPlus
- Get the file named CtWbJpg.dll and move it to
- - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM if you have Windows 95, 98, or Me
- - C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 if you have Windows 2000
- - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 if you have Windows XP 32-bit or Windows Vista 32-bit
- If you have Windows 95, 98, or Me, go to your C:\WINDOWS folder and find the file named system.ini
- Open it and find the section named [driver32]. Under it, add this line
VIDC.CJPG=CtWbJpg.dll
then save
- If you have Windows 2000, Vista 32-bit, or XP, run the Registry Editor. Go to start, run, and type regedit, then press enter
- Navigate to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32
- Make sure Drivers32 is highlighted on the left. (You should see a bunch of msacm and vidc on the right pane.) Go to edit, new, string value. Name it VIDC.CJPG then double click it, and for value type CtWbJpg.dll
- Navigate to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\drivers.desc
- Make sure drivers.desc is highlighted on the left. Go to edit, new, string value. Name it CtWbJpg.dll and for value type “Winbond 32-bit CJPG Decompression driver” without quotes

Note: I know this works, however I encountered a bug when I just repeated the steps on Windows XP (SP3 beta). Every time I played a CJPG sample in Windows Media Player 10, it would crash. However, if I feed the file into VirtualDub, it works just fine.
You can get VirtualDub at http://www.virtualdub.org. If you want to convert the file from VirtualDub it’s very easy. Click Video, Compression (very important step, otherwise it saves the AVI as uncompressed, and it’s huge). Pick your codec (I recommend DivX 3 Low-Motion - get it here if you don’t have it). Then click file, save as avi and you’re done.

P.S: Holy moly @ 700 MB file!
