hi boys and gals been surfing for ages and not found answer to my prob looks like it may be on this forum somewhere but im all surfed out.
*****************************************************************the situation is this
***************************************************************** i have downloaded a game file and it was mdf, mds so as you do i stuck it through isobuster and copied the out come to a folder ready for burning

opened me nero and tried

*make data DVD*

chucked the contents of folder into nero and it tells me its too large for dvd.

1.what do i do?

2.is it possible to run the game from hdd without using dvd?

3.is there a better way of doing what i have done?

ps please take pitty on a fairly recent newbee

mdf/mds is a CD image format, much like cue/bin, iso, nrg, etc...
1. You could get a CD/DVD burning program (or a trial version thereof) that supports burning mdf/mds. Alcohol 120% for instance (since it’s their format). I don’t think Nero supports mdf/mds
2. Yes, it’s called mounting the image. There are programs that make virtual CD/DVD drives out of CD/DVD image files. For example Daemon Tools (if you get the free version, be sure to uncheck 'install Daemon Tools search bar' during install - I think that’s adware). I’m not 100% sure if Daemon Tools support mdf/mds. Alcohol 120% can also mount images.
3. Just the two I mentioned above. There’s more complicated ways... for example extracting the mdf/mds, then burning a data CD/DVD, or converting to another image file format (iso, nrg, cue/bin or whatever) etc...
