SVQ3 Codec

I need the SVQ3 Codec to watch a vid. I already have divx and quicktime. But i want to watch the vid on MPlayer. Where can i get it for Media Player?

SVQ3 is the Sorenson 3 codec. QuickTime plays it fine, but if you insist on being able to play it in Windows Media Player get QuickTime Alternative from here

I know QuickTime Alternative comes with Media Player Classic by default, but the DirectShow splitter it comes with allows QuickTime files to be played in Windows Media Player as well (even those with QuickTime-only codecs like Sorenson). I think few people know or have tried this. Try it and see for yourself if you don’t believe me!

i’v looked everywhere for a SVQ3 codec and they are no where now we have to delete all our movies and download different one’s, just because i cant find a simple frickin codec,

QuickTime Alternative worked fine for me. It installs the codec as well as the player, and the .mov files then played fine in Windows Media Player.
