spazlabz Guest | Hi, I have been using broadway for a few years now and up till recently never had a problem with anything about it. However, I now have a need to be able to capture on one machine and edit the output AVI on another machine. The problem is, my second machine doesn’t have the BW10 codec that broadway uses, so none of my programs will see the AVI. I want to know how I can install this codec on my second machine. I have the CD but to be honest, couldnt determine what is on it that could help me. I tried installing the software on the second machine. It appears to work fine except it cant find the capture card, because there isn’t one on that machine. Can anyone help me with this?
Sincerely

fenway Guest | Broadway is a propietary system. It relies on the installed card to decode the video. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do this, I know, because i have run into the same problem. The best advice i can give would be to re-save the Broadway BW10 videos as MPEG files, with as high a data rate as possible. My system was several years ago, and MPEG1 was the only thing available. If you can save as MPEG2, I would. XING video player theoretically can play BW10, although the last time I checked it out it the version that could play BW10 did not run under Windows and could not decode the sound. This whole situation is a shame because the Broadway AVI video was very sharp. Good luck.

spazlabz Guest | The only fix I could come up with for me is to import the avi into a video editing program (I use Ulead Video Studio) and export as a microsoft AVI. I can then use it on any pc. It does make the avis quite a bit larger, but they are workable on other machines. Note, i think it almost goes without saying that the pc you have your editor on is also the one that needs to have broadway installed on it.
