Hi all,

Sorry to sound like a dunce but I’m new to all this and need some help.

I’m trying to covert an avi file and burn it to disc to play on a “normal” dvd player.

I have converted the avi file using Avi2DVD and have a folder with an ISO file and an Audio_TS (empty) and Video_TS (vob, bup and ifo files). I can play the vob files through the Divx player fine.

I am using DVDDecrypter to burn the iso file to a DVD. The process works but the disc does not play on any of the 3 dvd players I have at home?

Would someone PLEASE help me get this sorted - it’s really driving me around the bend!

thanks in advance.

Did you burn the image to the DVD by opening the ISO file and burning it, or did you burn a data DVD with the ISO file on it (very different!)? The easy way to check is open the DVD you burned in Windows Explorer. If you see an ISO file you did it wrong. If you see the VIDEO_TS, etc. folder structure with VOB, BUP, and IFO files, you did it right.
Second, can you check the type of media your 3 standalone DVD players accept (you may need to check the manual)? (Could it be they can only read DVD-R, but you burned on a DVD+R media or vice-versa?)
