gisty2000 Guest | You lot are so thick !!!! Prob americans too , kvcd burns onto cd-r’s only , nero burns em no problem . Select the cue file from your kvcd movie folder without having stared nero . nero rom will automatically start up , you hit burn and thats it ! Anyway the whole point of this forum was to find out if its possible to convert kvcd to avi ? Thats why Im here , but you lot are so thick you argue bout CAPS ?????? No wonder most the world hates you americans !!!!

Anyone know why this would be and tell me how to fix it or if I want to watch it on my PC should I just convert the file type?

KEVINSKI_uk Guest | To SIRENA,
Thanks for the instructions Re; KVCD - to - AVI conversion.
I tried it and it worked perfectly.
I still can’t sem to find a KVCD player, or codecs, for my PC, and for some reason NERO won’t burn a KVCD file to disc for me !! but I can play AVI’s on my cheap (LIDL) DVD player, so problem sorted.
Thanks guys (particularly SIRENE) for all the technical advice - cheers!
Merry Xmas - happy 2008

BugsyB Guest | Just open the .cue file with PowerISO (or the equvalent) and extract the .dat file (usually in the MPGAV folder) to a folder of your choosing. Go to that folder and rename the file with a .avi extension. The .avi will play just fine.
*and writing in caps is not going to get your message across any faster, rather it will make your intelligence quotient look rather low.

HyDrO Guest | For those of you that need to convert Kvcd to Avi, Dvd To Kvcd, and so on....A good program to do this with is TMPG, you can convert almost any vido file format with this, you can also doctor some vidio files so that the quality of it will be better.
For those of you that are downloading Kvcd’s you do not burn them onto DvD’s you burn them to a regular CD-R. You will have to have a Program such as Nero, I personally use Fireburner, it is quick and simple. Then you Burn just the Cue File, and if you want to watch them on your computer, you can do so with VLC Media player. Also be sure to keep in mind when burning a Kvcd that the slower you burn them the better the quality will be when watching them. Also all Dvd Players are not kvcd compatable.
