There is in fact a way to convert KVCD TO MPEG! From MPEG you can convert to DVD..or AVI and then to DVD.
Go to themxdomain.com/kvcd-avi.php for instructions! I did it! It takes time but it works great. If you want to skip a step you can convert MPEG to DVD.

Merry Christmas Everyone. If you want more info let me know.

God you guys are stupid

use TMPGEnc go to tools - merge and cut add go to the mpeg folder and load the dat file - then click run

If you googled it you would have found out how to do them

You get a avi or mpeg ( not used it for ages)

If i get time i will post a proper guide for you all

ALSO IMPORTANT

To you wallys burning to a dvd -YOU DON’T it’s to a cd

If you download a kvcd movie burn it using alcohol 120% use the drop down box and use the vcd setting

Hope this helps

Success !!!!

Converted my 700k .dat movie file to .mpg, loaded it into VirtualDubMOD and it has produced an .avi....

However, it’s taking up 43.0 GB (46,227,447,808 bytes) of my disk, and is the size of a postage stamp.

Do I need to tweak something ?

What you on about you loaded it into VirtualDubMOD ?

If you have a mpg file just convert that with any of the many programs to change into a dvd ie winavi or Xilisoft Video Converter 3 ect

No way would you have got a 43GB file from doing it in TMPGEnc first to get a mpg ect

yessss, finally something for people who only desire their quick instant gratification! VCDGear “the program that does all the work so you don’t have to!". You all should try using linux and figuring out how to do it step by step, and the many ways. It would be embarassing if you got caught and the only thing you could say was “I was just u-u-using VCDGear”.

learn to get along and maybe one day you’ll figure out that your just spinning the wheels, waiting for the day when you will have to figure something out alone. for me, it’s hard too. but i don’t want to go on forums demanding answers. even for someone like “loser” that would make me feel, unloved. most of you are scarcly over 16 i presume. got computers, dells probably, and don’t know a damn thing about nothing. you congregate and create chaos. you never really search. believe me, every one of your little questions could be answered if you search google for them. you’d never have to type anything. how much easier could that get for you?

STOP LISTENING TO ALL THESE ABUSIVE WANKERS

If you download a KVCD file, it will appear as a BIN/CUE file. Many downloads come with a message of how to burn or watch this on your computer.

TO BURN = NERO Burning ROM. Takes no time at all (works best on cheaper dvd players as they aint encypted)

TO WATCH through PC = Download yourself VLC Player, also known as VideoLan Player. If you have an S-Video outlet on your laptop as I have, then plug this into your TV, and watch from there. Little hint though, sound doesn’t transfer with my S-video, so I had to by a Cheap PS2 Surround sound kit for £15 which plugs into your head phone socket. If you don’t have an S-video point on your TV, then you can buy them for £5 quid off E-Bay. Don’t go to the shop they cost three times the amount of that.

CONVERTING, Just the same as everyone else here, still trying to convert KVCD to XVID or any other file type to convert into 3GP, but I am going for a long shot as KVCD is designed to be put straight onto a 700mb disc.

I am at this moment downloading WINMPG. But you will also need a program called ISOBUSTER, which allows you to extract Bin/cue files for CD burning. Extract them into a certain folder and then open up WINMPG,open that folder and convert into AVI or what ever you choose.

P.s. always choose OVERBURN when transfering files over 700mb to disc.

Hope this info has been pleasurable, cos my fingers are killing me.

The Gamarn

guys, vcdgear will open a bin/cue file without burning to a disk or mounting it why do something that is not needed, takke more time, waiste disk space, vcdgear will extract bin/cue to mpeg file in a matter of seconds, then use xvid to dvd or winavi, or winmpeg, or 3gp, or one click dvd, or dvd creater, ect.............
that is it, no virtualdubmod needed, no nero 7 needed, but you do need nero any will do, nero 7 has gotten some bad reviews so i will wait before upgrading, i use nero 6 and i am happy with it, personally i prefer roxio to nero,
but guys stop making it harder then it really is, some people do not have the time, patiance, or the disk space of all of this.
and to be honest, if you have a cheap dvd player and a tube television, keep it in bin/cue, use nero to burn to cd, this is cheaper, and the quallity will be better, if you have a tube tele, go buy a cheap dvd player, 29 dollars at wally world and/or kroger, HEB, Tom Thumb, Food World, Kmart, Target, ect....... pawn shop 15 dollars, make it easy on your self, and stop having to listen to some of the want-to-beess out there who complain more then they help
for those of you who are like me and have an hd tv, ld, plasma, ect...., just download the non kvcd file, almost always is one, latly i have found myself downing the wigtip files, small, and convert easily

thanks for your time, and sorry for going on
