Video Downloads Without Sound

I Have loads of downloaded movies from Axxo, but now and again I download one and there is no sound. What is the reason for this. I know the source is a trusted one. Do i need a codec (AC3) or something like that. Dom

Yes, that’s likely you’re missing an audio codec. To check, feed it into gspot or avicodec to find out which audio codec the file uses. Audio codecs are identified by their tag numbers.
