Mpg stalls while playing

Hi! I have a .mpg that initially (3sec) plays normal and than stalls for 1s then plays again for 2sec, stalls atgain for 2s than plays for 1s, stalls yet again and never plays again. If I reposition the slider o the progres bar i only get the frame, no moving though.
I checked the file with the GSpot and it sais that it is OK and that codecs are not applicable. Can anyone give me an advice on why doesn t the movie play as it should if codecs are not applicable (needed)

Could be broken frames, or some related problem. Try a search for Divxrepair. It’s a simple little program that will fix many problems, including to some degree mismatched video and sound. It’s worth running any downloaded video through this before you try watching it.
