WinAVI error

i keep getting this error when i try converting a avi file to dvd format sommet to do with major.dll i forgot the code but i never had this prblem before but then again this is a 1gb film normaly i do 700mb but what can it be casue it shouldnt take that much space up cause 700mb only take 1.53gb ruffly and when i look at what it did of the one that keeps failing its only 2.5gb it seems to always go wrong near like the last 3mins
