Entree Rep: 0 Joined: 16 Dec 2007 Posts: 1 OFFLINE | I’ve been working on trying to fix this problem for two weeks now, and I’ve hit a road block. What’s the problem?
The problem is that audio and video files on MySpace, Youtube, Yahoo! Movies, etc... aren’t playing properly. The audio on myspace doesn’t play at all, even though the streamer bar says the file is playing. And as for youtube, the video will move along and stream beautifully, but there is absolutely no sound what so ever.
However, when using iTunes or Window’s Media player, sounds work fine. Likewise, watching videos in Azereus work fine and play both audio and video in perfect sync.
I am running Windows XP Home edition.
I’ve tried all of the suggestions provided by Adobe’s help page for Flash. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program numerous times. I’ve scanned for virus' and I even bought a registry fix program, which found TONS of errors on my System and then fixed them.
Now I am stumped. When I go to follow the directions provided on adobe’s page
(http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb402691&sliceId=1 )
I can’t complete the directions because my path in regedit.exe goes like this:
HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Software\Microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
Instead of this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32
How do I fix this problem? I don’t want to make my registry even worse!
