ok.. i am new to the whole movie burninb process so PLEASE!!! excuse my ignorance.....

i just recently bought a sony dvd burner. and have spent the last 3 days trying to burn movies with the nero software provided with the burner.

i have pretty much all different movie file types. avi,xvid,BIN/CUE and i have had problems with burning all except for the BIN/CUE files and thats only because i read the readme.txt that came with the download.. however i was able to burn a dvd file download.. that had the vts_vob or somethin like that extension with the dvdvideo option on my nero. so i figure get a converter that converts files to dvd.. i did and was able to get one movie on dvdr disc but the video was chopy and distorted
i would like to be able to burn movies onto dvdr discs but so far have been unable to the only thing that works is the BIN/CUE and those only go on cdr’s once aagain sorry for my lack of knowledge in the whole movie burning area but if someone could please respond to this post through my emal at phokstah@hotmail.com i would greatly appreciate it.. once again sorry for the novel i had to write but i had to explain my problem!

so i guess my question is either what program other then vcd gear can i use to convert my videos (xvid or avi) to BIN/CUE .. or if theres a reason why the conversion i did to dvd using winavi turned did not turn out!! is it the converter or somethin with nero! ohh and how come u can’t burn vcd’s onto dvdr’s theres always an error that comes up saying
compilation could not be burned on this type of disc please use the proper disc or make changes to your compilation.. can u make changes through the configure option that allows you to burn a vcd onto a dvdr disk?? thanks in advance!!!1

I dl’ed battlefield 2 from mininova.com but I am not sure how to play it... I can’t find the actual program.. there is one file called reloaded I thought might be it but it’s an NFO file... therefore, not it
.. If someone could tell me what file runs it i’d be very grateful.

I have an modded xbox that i have installed a 200G hard drive on to. I put movies on to it and watch them on my tv but of course they have to be mpeg, avi....and so on. I was wondering that if I have a good quality movie that I want to put on the hard drive but it is in a bin and cue format how do I change it to a mpeg....avi...or....whatever so I can watch it on my TV?
Thank’s a bunch.

I have just downloaded some files, in tda format, which i have combined, after checking the fsv file.

After joining the only two files appear to be a bin and a cue file, which I can see after adding a zip or rar extension to the joined file.

But whien I attempt to unrar the tda file I get a message asking for a .r00 file (or a .z00, etc, and there was no 00 tda file.)

I am a newb at this and have no idea what to do next.

I have winrar, Alcohol 120, powerdesk etc.

Thanx, linden

ok... I just downloaded a game called hip hop ejay 4 full.rar (459.2 mb) I then extracted the file using WinRar. I extracted them all into the same folder. When I opened the folder I realised the there was a .bin file (804,616kb) and a .cue file (1kb). I am unsure on how to make a conversion so I would be able to use the sowftware and get it installed. I really have no clue about this so whoever could help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks.

"you can convert .bin & .cue files to mpeg format by using a program called vcdgear..you can download it for free at www.vcdgear.com and better still it is a stand alone program..good luck”

To whomever wrote this, thank you, thank you, thank you! Trying for days to convert a bin/cue file into a video file and this worked like a charm! Thank you!

well,I download some episodes of my favorite show from the Internet and I downloaded them using turbotorret, all of the files say rar. after them and when I went to open them using winzip everytime I openend them it always told asked me to open add the file so I added it to a folder and then tried to watch them but when I did it asked to to add them again, so after that I download winrar to my computer I extracted them to a folder so when I clicked on one of the files it gave me three files ogm, sfv, and ssa so I cliked on the ogm and when I opened it to see if I could watch it only gave me a bunch of question marks and other little sybolms so If anyone know how to deal with this proble I would be forever in your debt if you help me with this and help me so I can watch my show thank you

GET A PLAYER CALLED VLC MEDIA PLAYER, IT PLAYS ALL MOST ANY FILE,THAT WILL ENABLE U TO WATCH IT ON UR COMP. IF U WANT TO PUT IT ON TO DISC 4 UR DVD PLAYER BURN THE FILE IN NERO UNDER (BURN DISC IMAGE) THE WHOLE FILM WILL THEN FIT ON A CDR. COMPRESSES IT SO NOT AS GOOD AS A DVD BUT WHOS COMPLAINING ITS ALL FREE
