daviencle Guest | hi there billh..with winrar you can create as many filles as you want,this is handy when e-mailing a very large file,you can send then 1 or 2 at a time and whoever is receaving them can extract the file when they get all the small rar files...
when you extract the bin/cue files you must be extracting them to the same folder,and that is why they want to overwrite the othere..try creating a new folder for each cd then extract them to seperate folders

Dino Guest | I have a questions.
First of all, i got lots of movies in my comp. and they are all in .avi format, but i looked everywhere to find converter from .avi to .bin and there are not converters like that. Ok so i found converter from .avi to .mpeg and my .avi movies is 699MB but when its converter into mpeg its 820MB which cant be fit on cd, even if i convert .mpeg into .bin and .cue. So my question is this:
Is there any kind of a program that converts .avi to .bin and stays the same quality and size so i can put it on my cd-r.

daviencle Guest | ok you unrar a file (right click and click extract here)you get a cue and a bin file(it’s ok to deleate all the rar files after unpacking them..but not the bin/cue)open nero and burn the cue file..it will automaticly include the bin file as a vcd or svcd..then burn them to a normal blank cd,,,you can convert the cue/bin to mpeg and join them togeather if you have the time.....i strongly advise you to take the time to look at some of the postes on this site...save some of us some time answering

daviencle Guest | hi there Dino...it is beond my belife why you want to convert avi to bin/cue when it takes a lot of time converting them back to there origonal format....well here’s 1 way (there are others but this is the only one that i know that works)first you will need to download 1 click dvd ripper(you can get it from www.torrentspy.com or from www.megatorrents.org the best bet is getting it from megstorrents co’s i’m still seeding it)you will get 2 files that will fit on a cd..then you will need a prog called(all ready posted)vcdgear to convert to bin/cue

ste Guest | ok heres my problem i have downloaded empire earth 2 using bit-torrent.once downloaded it had 2 folders CD1 and CD2.in Cd1 It had Rar files labeled (rld-ee2a.r00) to (rld-ee2a.r29)which could be oped using WINrar. it also came with files labeled (rld-ee2a.r30) to (rld-ee2a.r49)which windows did not recognise.there wer aslo (rld-ee2a.srv) and (rld-ee2a.rar).
After unrar-ing all the files into th same folder i had a (.CUE) and a (.BIN) file. I tryed using deamon tools but i dont fully understand how they work so i tryed to burn the cue file to a Cd by using the 'image cd' feature on nero. This always failed at 30%.
so my question is this is there an alternitive way of extracting the data so i can get the install exe or is the data corrupt?

big_mac Guest | Each folder should have had one file ending in .RAR. That’s the way it has been with me anyway. that is the one I click & un-rar. it takes the r00 - r files and un-rars them..

big_mac Guest | whoops - i wanted to add that bin and cue files are playable movie files using the correct player. yes daiemon tools can make a virtual disk if used correctly (hard to figure out) or you could use.. what is it? dammm icon eraser erased most of my “un-used” desktop icons just now on boot-up - well it is called the VNC media player (I think).

jesusluuuvsu2 Guest | Crylynx posted that VCDgear was great for changing torrent files into playable feedback.....im kinda ignorant to the whole file conversion process but eager to learn......basically i downloaded, with morpheus, some sermons about creation vs evolution....they were automatically?????converted from .avi to DivX.torrent files before my very eyes!!...and now i do not know how to redo what morpheus did...not to mention it took me over a week to download all 7 sermons!....Please help if you know how!!!

Though I could “discuss” 'til the sun goes down about your religious beliefs, I won’t (raised Catholic BTW)...
I just wanted to mention that if you don’t need to pass around those DivX files as .AVI files and you only want to see them, there is a free DivX Player. I don’t know where it is, probably just do a Google search and you will find it, it is just titled at the top of it when opened “DivX Player”.

Dodo Guest | HELP i have downloaded a movie file from bittorrent and i have read earlier posts and i am confused!
the file i have got is 3 of them: CD1 CD2 CD3 plus 2 nfo files ive read but dont help
all 3 of these files are filled with about 40 RAR files each plus one SFV file.
in the rar’s are 1 bin and 1 cue
i dont really know what the SFV file is so i dont know how to use it.
Any help would be appreciated.

big_mac Guest | You need an un-rar program. Think of .RAR files like ZIP files. People will almost always mention WinZIP or WinRar or something like that. I will tell you of a great freeware unZIP, unRAR, un-anything program. It is called ZipGenius:

If you install it, it wil become your unZIp program too. But it works just fine.
Now, those rar files. You right click on one and it unRARs them all (puts them together vto make your AVI file or whatever it was, maybe bin and cue).
If the RAR files start with a filename.r00 (ends in .R00), there will be one file in the bunch that ends in .RAR . That’s the one you right click and use your unRAR program to unRAR.
But if the RAR files start in filename.R01 (and not .R00)there probably will not be a file that ends in .RAR, and in this case you unRAR that file that ends in filename.R01.
