Johnnycondom that’s a name like a salesman I’ve met Mr. Dick! Anyway vcdgear is not one of the software I use but so far you can extract a MPEG file from an image file like bin or iso and to create a SVCD or a VCD file to put on CD. People with no dvd burner can work with this and watch a movie at a decent quality. If you have a dvd burner is not worth it to use vcdgear and if you have a bin already just burn it on cd and you’re in business or just play the bin with VLC.

hi marcus
well i got nero 6 and a dvd burner.
but cant get to the options tab to get to expert features and enable disc tab to overburn.
so can i just use a dvd disc to burn longer bin files to vcd,to play on my divx/dvd player
oh .and johnnycondom.
well,my names john and over here in the uk johnny is a slang word for a condom/rubber
put the two together?

More or less like Mr. Dick! About your bins if you have more than one extract MPEG’s from them and use a video converter or whatever dvd creator you have and convert to dvd and burn it. But remember if you start with a low quality file don’t expect to be a better one on dvd. Convertion is like a translator won’t improve much. If you don’t have a converter here is a link and check on dvd tools or multimedia for what you need or register and you can use search. www.softarchive.net

Better if you go to bed. VCD format is for cd only if you want to use a dvd you need a convertion and Nero is doing this with Nero Vision but as you say is taking some time and depends by your CPU and RAM. A shorter way will be to convert from MPEG to DivX but is not a shortcut. Also you can use iso tools like WinIso to edit your bin or a bin splitter cu fit the cd’s.

Since U said that U have a CUE along side with the BIN, U can just drop the CUE bitch in2 Nero. Click on burn image. B 4 U do that, adjust the burning speed in Nero @ min4x & max6x. Burn too fast U’ll get a hanging/shaking playback.
Note: even if a BIN file xceed the CD limits(700MB+++)it still can fits on a normal CD. The CUE bitch is the most important.

right guys
im still having probs
first i selected image recorder cd-r/rw on nero
then i selected to burn video cd
but when i tried to add the cue files the burner cant see them
i even created a new folder on the desk top and moved them into it
but the burner asks me to select a folder(burner still cant find them)

finally do you ignore the bin files
are they just ther to watch on the pc if you want to veiw them that way
thanx again guys

Ok I hope is not to late in UK. If you set the overburn correctly now open Nero choose burn image and point to the cue. Be sure you keep both bin and cue in the same place folder or desktop. Cue is just the directory for the bin so work as a team. To play a bin on pc you can use a freeware VLC player or a virtual drive like Nero image drive.
