I found an artcle that deals with my problem, “XP Windows Explorer Avi Problem”
In reading solutions to fix my PC, I need help, PLEASE.
I have 3wPlayer, Quick time, Real PLayer, ATI Media and Media player & ATI MultiMedia Player which came with my Video Card. I’ve also DL’d several different codec packs to play different Video formats.
It appears that the 1st thing I should do is uninstall all of my codecs and then DL & re-install codecs.
I’m Clueless4Now... haha Should I delete or uninstall all of my video players and codecs?
How do I determine what files are codecs and delete them so I can DL what I need... I know how to get into Control panel but have no experience in identifying codecs.
Will some of you please help in instructing me on how/ what to do? Please don’t abreviate or think I know anything about PC’s. Write in long term sentences if possible.
Thank you all for the help, in advance! I joined today, 12-04-07... I’m trying to DL and play DIVX, avi’s, screeners, MPG4’s and a lot of vids that have been written in different formats. I’m totally lost.
