Burning MPG's to DVD Disc problems?

I have burned MPG’s to DVD disc not for DVD format just to save from using 15 CD’s. I burned 3 disc’s and the middle one will not read at all. The other two work just fine. I cannot open/explore the Disc. Is all gone? any ideas of programs that I can use.
