Marion03 Guest | how do you use it???? i downloaded an RAR file, an album actually, and all i know is its a compressed file, and in order to decompress it, i need to d/l WinRAR... i think. so i did and now i have no clue what to do. i guess much question is, how do you decompress a RAR file using the winRAR program??? thanks in advance to whoever can answer my question

Regular Rep: 3 Joined: 20 Nov 2004 Posts: 1,239 | First you run the winrar installation program. Then usually you should be able to double-click rar files and open them to see what’s inside. [Most] people will instead right-click the rar file and choose extract to [folder-name]. That’s probably the most expedient way of extracting the contents.
P.S: If you didn’t install winrar correctly right clicking may not be available (that’s unlikely, since the shell extension installs by default). If that’s the case, find winrar on your start menu and run it. Then click option, settings, go to the integration tab, and make sure integrate winrar into shell is checked.
