All my videos will not play - will only play audio and show strange garbled colours!

During a hasty uninstall of youtubeRobot, a message came up asking me if i would like to delete 'common files'. I stupidly didn’t read the message in its entirety, and now all my video players refuse to work. The audio generally works, but the video only show garbled colours (green and purple mainly). I suspect it’s an issue with all the codecs, and that the uninstallation was the problem. I tried reinstalling quicktime and the windows media player to no avail. If anyone knows a solution to this problem, i would love to know.

Death666 Guest You could try re-installing the codecs to see if that is in fact your problem. Try K-lite codec pack. It’s on this site: http://www.moviecodec.com/downloads/33d.html
