only audio will play on my downloaded movies, help?

shiv Guest i’ve dowmloaded a video from bittorrent but when i play them in windows media player i only get the audio, someone suggested i use VLC Media player but i wanted to copy the video to disks for my friends to play on windows media player.. anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix the windows media problem instead of just changing the player? (ps. i’ve downloaded the codecs and no, the material i downloaded wasn’t illegal =D)

anonymous Regular Rep: 5 Joined: 20 Nov 2004 Posts: 1,266 Use gspot or avicodec to find out the missing codec and find it and download it and install it. Basically WMP uses system-wide codecs, while VLC uses its own internal decoders.
