I was thinking about getting a zune to put movies on from my computer and watching them on my basement TV, but am wondering about the video quality of the zune. I read that the new zune will have almost double the resolution of the old one, but if i download the new firmware, could i get the higher resolution on the older zune? Im still thinking, but if the quality isn’t bad, i don’t see why it wouldn’t work. I’m basically asking, how is the quality of the first zune (cause im not gonna get a new one) and does it look good on a full sized TV. Im not talking HD picture either, its just an old console TV that my aunt gave me.
Thanks

320X240 will look pretty good on like a 12 inch TV. As long as the video is at 800kbs. You can always try converting it to 640x480 an it’ll look pretty good on a 21 inch tv.

Since the Zune 30 is limited to 320x240 output, encoding to 640x480 is wasteful and will result in a LOWER quality image than a video that is encoded specifically for 320x240.
