I was wondering if it is possible to connect my laptop to my DVR to get shows that are on my DVR onto my computer so I can burn them to DVD? My DVR has a USB port on it!

You need a video recorder.

What it does is it records the video/audio coming in and saves it as a file on your PC.

This should help.

You may also require some video editing software.

You can try the standard and free Windows Movie Maker (on your Win XP computer.

Or you can search for one.

Power Director I hear is pretty good though it usually runs about $80. For free ones http://labnol.blogspot.com/2007/01/free-video-editing-software-for.html
