i have a avi movie file which is about 2.1 gb and i need to put it on a dvd .the peob is that the moment i insert a dvd and try burning the avi file on to it , the size of the file shoots up to 8gb n over exceeds the dvd capasity.... im using nero version 3.1
so i need to know how can i burn the avi file on my dvd n seep the size still the same

When you burn avi files to dvd, the program will convert it to vob format (mpeg-2), so the file size will change while converting.
You can also try this dvd burner, it worked very well for me.
