can't order probucts can't download?!

I bought a linksys router and an adapter and when i try to order anything or download certain things “i.e. netscape” it says it can’t process the page. Christmas time is coming I’m in trouble now, please help. I changed security settings and everything i can’t figure out the problem. AOL told me to check somethings but that didn’t help at all. Is there any reason the router is preventing the computer from purchasing or downloading things and what can i do about it?
