newer DVD player formats

Hi There,

I have some movies on my PC which i have been burning to DVD.

I have burned them onto DVD using DeepBurner and these work find on the PC, they work find on my cheap £20 DVD player, but my £300 DVD player does not recognise the format.

The different movies are in different formats, but still don’t appear to work.

what format is best for newer DVD players and what is a decent piece of software to perform these conversions?

Any help would be much appreicated.
