anonymous Guest | Feed the file into one or more of the video file diagnostic tools on this page.

If that doesn’t tell you anything then just try randomly feeding the file into various programs, such as winrar, winzip, media player classic, or videolan to see if anything comes out of it.

dude Guest | instead of mastersplitter, use WinRAR to join and extract your file

^KilleR^ Guest | You were NOT supposed to join the files. If you still have the original files (001...) so right click on 001 and then choose to open the file with a program you select and choose winrar.
Now extract the movie and enjoy it
But nothing happened if you joined the files. All you need to do is to extract the 1 big file that you got after you joined all the 001... files with the software you joined them, and then do what i wrote before (with winrar).
If you don’t have winrar http://www.rarsoft.com.

guest Guest | I just downloaded a movie and it was broken up in the exact same way. I did what you said using WinRAR and it worked like a charm. Thanks for the good advice.

nappyroots Guest | I’m a newbie and I’m having the same problem with seperate files downloaded with *.001, 002 etc.. All I have to do is associate the 00* files with winrar. Winrar will be associated with the files and then extract the files ?

bag Guest | Hi Guys,
thanks ^killer^, sorry, ^KilleR^
Just do what killer says.
Right click .001 file & open with winrar. It will then show the movie .avi file & then just extract that.

SuperDudeGuy Guest | I tried using winRAR for those .001 extensions, However I got an error which said that the format is unknown or damaged. When I tried opening it through the program instead, it did not associate with winRAR.
Has anyone had this kind of problem before? I used the PAR files to check that its ok, and it said that repair is not needed.

That is not a WinRar archive, you need HJSplit. Check :
