audio problems

i just got a dvd burner for my comp, it came with nero and winavi i just downloaded, the video/audio when i watch the new version with nero comes out fine, but when i burn it the audio is messed up, it sounds like alvin and the chipmunks, im not sure what the problem is or how to fix it, any help would be appreciated, my email is dasoccerguy07@aol.com
