Regular Rep: 6 Joined: 20 Nov 2004 Posts: 1,285 | You can try VirtualDub-MPEG-2. Just look through your DVD for the VOB file(s) and feed them into the program. Cutting should be pretty intuitive. For merging, just use open, append segment. Under Video, Compression, be SURE to pick a codec other than uncompressed, otherwise your resulting avi’s will be humongous. You may want to click on advanced too once you select a codec, so you can adjust quality settings (not all codecs are set to pristine quality by default) And to save, click file, save as avi.
