Mirna blue Guest | Hello,
I have nero 5.5.6.4 on win xp. I can’t write CDs using nero because the “write CD” button can’t be enabled. When I want to chose a recorder I have only “Image recorder” in the Device window. I know some device is missed here but dont know how to fix this problem. please help!!

Entree Rep: 0 Joined: 22 Oct 2004 Posts: 1 OFFLINE | primarily this seems to be software issue in case ur hardware configuration is proper hence to resolve this problem u have to uninstall and reinstall nero.
if ur issue is still persisting then it seems that nero is not able to detect ur cd-writer and as a result of which giving option of only image recorder. since it is not able to detect ur writer the question of “write cd” button does not arise, therefore please check whether ur cd-rom and / or cd-writer is configured properly.
u can go to my computer>properties>device manager to see whether ur cd-rom/cd-writer is configured or detected by ur wiindows xp or not. it would be more helpful if u had mentioned whether u have only cd-writer or a writer and a rom both.
