what program do i use to open this file?
i downloaded mpc player and a whole bunch of codecs(k-lite, ...plus alot of other codecs
only the mpc allowed me to view the video but no audio...
can someone tell me what program(s) i have to download to watch and listen this file.

Regular Rep: 6 Joined: 20 Nov 2004 Posts: 1,285 | You should feed the mkv file into VideoInspector ( http://www.kcsoftwares.com/?vtb) to find out what audio codec the file uses.
The VLC solution could work if the audio the mkv uses (which really could be anyone’s guess) is bundled in VLC... a toss of the die really. | |

It may have been set to 0 instead of one, as some videos have more than one audio layer, with only a single layer of audio working. | |
