Hi all.

I have a problem. I render videos with my own rendering engine. But there are very difficult sequences and I want to edit the video later with AfterEffects or something like that.

So, is there a codec that perhaps saves every frame in jpg format. When I use DivX at best quality settings it still makes some scrambling in my image. I don’t want to use “no compression”, because I have rather long sequences and I don’t have the disk space.

Thx
Martin

You might want to use lossless codecs instead.
huffyuv (free, click on pre-built DLL):

MSU (free): http://compression.ru/video/ls-codec/index_en.html
alparysoft (free):

techsmith codec (free while you are in the trial period for camtasia): http://techsmith.com/download/tsccdefault.asp

Pegasus lossless jpeg ($400 - for professionals):

There’s more out there, just google them.
