nrg file burning?!?!

hey can someone help me out i recently dled splinter cell for ps2 and the file is an nrg...i used nero 6 to burn the image but it comes up with “foreign image type” and ask me to select a image type, ie data mode 1, data mode 2 etc.

I selected one of the options and was burning onto my dvd but after it was finish and i tired to run it it wont work...can someone tell me step by step what to do??
