Ive read the forum and most of the posts but still stuck.

Ive downloaded sims2 created the iso files loaded each of them into a different virtual drive in alcohol. the problem is after starting the installation it asks for me to insert disc 2 how do i fool the installation that i have disc 2 since i cant direct it to look at the virtual drive. Im probably sounding stupid and do feel it lol but for the life of me cant seem to think of a soloution. one suggestion for the hosts of this website perhaps a step by step guide for different either burning a cd or using the virtual drives. if theres one already then apologies. thanks in advance

You’re supposed to mount the second drive. You can mount the first one again if needed. It works like a real CD Drive. You have to pop out the first disc to put in the second.

Could you give me the CD key? I have it too, but no key =\.

Hi

If you give me your email address i’ll send you a cd key generator for sims2or search for it on the p2p network

I’ll try what you suggested but almost certain ive done it before and still asks for disc 2
i’ll get it done if it takes me forever lol

Ive just tried what you’ve suggested and it still asks for me to insert disc 2

Let me get this correct i mount the first sims2 iso file 1 let it install and gets to about 23 percent installed and then when it asks for me to install disc 2 i unmount iso 1 and mount iso 2 is that correct if it is then i must be doing something wrong as ive done that several times and still no luck

ps let me know if you still need the the key generator

Yuve tried virtual drives and they dont work for you, what bout burning and using the physical drive, not that expensive and yuve got a backup copy.

Hmmmmmmm.......My post is quite late so I doubt anyone will read it. I suggest you use Daemon Tools for all your needs.
It is a little more user friendly.

Hi, I was browsing the internet trying to find a solution for a similar problem. Although i have downloaded an ISO format file, furthermore, downloaded Daemon Tools, mounted it to a virtual drive. All a piece of cake so far, but when i went through the step by step guide, it says just to open the file once upon completion of all these tasks..I did, and found myself with Sonic to copy a dvd again. Does anyone has a solution to this?
