May have been done before but who cares. This is for people not companies. I’ll list my top 5 and you can list yours as well.

5. Shinji Mikami- Worked for Capcom and Clover and now with his newly founded dev at SEEDS. He created the RE series. Nuff said right there.

4. Martin Hollis- Worked at Rare and now at his own company Zoonami. Created Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark. Reinnovated the FPS genre to what it is today.

3. John Carmack- Works for iD software. Created Doom, Quake, and Castle Wolfenstein. Easily the father of the FPS genre.

2. Hideo Kojima- Works for Konami. Created MG series and Snatcher. An amazing dev who made some of the greatest games ever.

1. Shigeru Miyamota- works for Nintendo. Created Mario, Zelda, and DK. Easily the greast dev of all time as every other dev sees him as a role model.

Yea Carmack is a genius. All you Halo people better be thanking him and Hollis cause Halo wouldn’tt have been the same without them 2 guys.

Miyamota is a genius when it comes to video games. Making Mario and Zelda which are widely considered the best series of all time, which are also the best selling series, and bringing innovation to video games.
