How is this possible ..Movie file is big but plays only 1 min.

Hi everyone .. Lately i have downloaded a film that was 701 mb big .. but it played only 1 min while the file itself says that it would take 1 hour and 30 min. how is this possible, do i need to extract or something.. its a Xvid File. the screen looks good 856 x 480 it is .. what is it that i do not know about. Can someone help please.. and it took long to download it to ..for about 1 day. but i just dont understand why 1 min.
