newbieneedshelp Guest | I am a total newbie. I have a dvd which from what I have read is cracked. It’s a home movie. On the dvd there is a video folder with 2 bup files, 2 ifo files and 3 vob files. There is a separate audio folder with nothing in it even though the video has audio.
What I would like to do is capture a few short sequences of this video and convert it to some format I can put on the web (or import in flash).
This is just for a little hobby site so I don’t want to buy any expensive software.
I am hoping that since the dvd is cracked, this won’t be too complicated.
Any help appreciated.

anonymous Guest | At that point I’d probably use FlaskMPEG.

If you need to do further editing use virtualdub (for avi) or tmpgenc (for mpeg)
