for some reason some movies that i have seem to play with these green stripes or pixels down the left side of it, not against the frame but slightly to the right of it but on the left side. the colour is also not quite right for the rest of the frame too.

i’m using the k-lite codec pack using ffdshow to decode xvid and playing in media player classic. i tried using vlc to play it but i get the same problem. seems to happen in some but not all of my axxo movies. seems like it’s a bit of a crap shoot as some of them are screwed and some of them seem to play fine.

i also am experiencing tearing in the upper right corner for some xvid movies when played in media player classic, but not when using vlc.

any help would be greatly appreciated

If you haven’t found the solution (like I have not either), u can play the movies with Nero Showtime without problems.

usually it will play normally with winamp, windows media, or one of the other various players out there. sometimes you have to be creative, but you can usually find a player to fix your problem.
