anonymous Guest | Don’t listen to kemo. I don’t think it’s the real kemo btw, just our resident troll. But more to the point.
.001 are is usually the first in a set of split files. For example the original file would be blah.mpg and it’ll be split into parts like blah.mpg.001 blah.mpg.002 and so on. Normally people use hjsplit, mastersplitter, or winsplit to split and recombine. I have been made aware that recently on file sharing programs split rar files have been renamed that way too. In the old days rar files would be split into .r01 .r02 .r03 etc and .rar (last one). People on file sharing programs just rename them .001 .002 and so forth. If that’s the case use winrar to decode the file.

kemo Guest | Program for completing incomplete files.
Only needed if say when you double click the file starting from 1 to join up the set of rar files and there is an error.
This only applies with rar files downloaded from newsgroups where somehow some files are lost in transit from the person who uploaded the program onto the server.

Rincewind Guest | Hi,
You could use a program called hjsplit to create the full file. Search on you’re favourite search engine for it.
Bon Chance :-) | |

Eh Guest | Simply double click on the file, then open with win-rar, it does the rest.

zoellerman Guest | After unzipping with winrar you will be left with a bin & cue file.
You need to get a program called isobuster that will open the bin file.
Extract contents of bin file into a folder & burn.

Joeyxp2 Guest | Please, help me! I can’t unzip the Call of Duty Expansion because there’s a password and I don’t what it is. There are two folders, one is CD1 and another is CD2. CD1 has mo-cdufa.bin* and mo-cdufa.cue*. CD2 has mo-cdufb.bin* and mo-cdufb.cue*. Does anyone know the password, I really need help. If I don’t type in the correct password the file won’t unzip and it will say bad CRC error. I tried the link that EXG provided but it couldn’t be found. Can someone please help me?

I used hjsplit to combine the files now what do I do? I have no .bin or .cue files. Was the file I just created the .bin? If so where do I get the .cue?

x-gus Guest | I have the same problem... I did combined with hjsplit and now I have one 636 mb file. (no bin or cue file shows up) What do I do with it? I’ve tried to rename it into a bin, cue, and iso file and nothing seems to work.
help us out, we are so close...

Joeyxp2 Guest | You could try not combining it because I’ve heard that combining two cds into one will not make it work. I would recommend just leaving it as two cds and merging them together. Does somebody know how to perform defrag on winxp? I have tried typing defrag in the run option but a cmd just pops up and closes. I could do it on WinME but I’m not sure about XP. The reason I’m doing this is that COD(Original Version) is running so slow and it used to be running so fast probably because I’ve switched to XP and with XP you need a faster computer processor to run nicely because XP has more things running in the background.

german guy Guest | Hello,
you only have to rename all the 45 files!!!
Call “mo-cdufa.001” “mo-cdufa.r01”,
“mo-cdufa.002” “mo-cdufa.r02”... . And then you only have to unrar it, it works!!!!
Then you can mount it with Daemon Tools or burn it.
I hope I could help you!
Have fun!!!! | |

Joeyxp2 Guest | Yes, I agree German guy is really good. I should have though of that r01. Have you guys ever downloaded a cd-rip game? Usually when people pack them in a Winrar archive they are packed with r01 to r10. Very helpful, thanks!

Thunder Guest | You can do it very easy, easyer as german guy. Just pick a (doesnt matter wich one) mo-cdufa.001 or 002 etc. double click on it then open it with winrar and choose a place to extract it. then you have a .bin and a .cue file. Use Deamon-Tools to open it, and TADAAA it is done.
