I have Winavi converter 7.7 but I need to find a free video converter. Anyone know of one?

Unfortunately it was the trial version and when the dvd files are played there is a winavi logo on the screen asking me to purchase winavi converter to remove the logo. I was wondering if you guys know of a avi to dvd convertor that is free? Please I would love to hear any info you have on free avi converters. I really want to purchase WinAVI converter, but right now my bills and broken car are saying that is not possible. LOL. Thanks for your time. =)
