Hello all,

I am trying to author DVDs of short films from my iMac. I’m using Final Cut 4 to edit, and then I can export using Quicktime compression and a number of different codecs.

Can anyone recommend which codec I should use? I’m working primarily with digital video, and I’d like to be able to fit 35-minute to 50-minute movies onto the discs. Using DV and Animation codecs I get Gigabyte sizes way too high.

Thanks,

Alan

Hey man I had the same problem on my Mac so after typing in dvd authoring and compression at the
Google search I found your question on the message board and an ad for better codec compression on the same page. I grabbed the Dvdx software and IM glad that I did. It works great! So I droped you a line. I got the Dr. Dvdx
But the pro might work well to.

Post back it this helps.
Good luck
