You can go around asking anyone if they have heard of Halo, and they will usually say yes. But not nearly as many people will know what you are talking about if you ask them if they have ever heard of Metal Gear Solid.
Plus Halo 2 and 3 have great multiplayer... unlike Metal Gear Solid games. Halo 2 was and if I am correct, still is, the number one most played game on Xbox Live. ---

yeah, your right on the halo 2 being the most played on xbox live, to add to that statement, It has been played over I think, a billion hours. and thousands upon millions of games.
The only game that will surpass it will more than likely be Halo 3. The beta alone had hundreds of thousands of hours.

Yeah I mean the Halo franchise has the fans, the community (check bungie.net), books, two albums of music, a store, a commercial, and even a possible movie. (cancled because Microsoft is a greedy bitch)
I mean its just obvious... not trying to sound like a fanboy or anything like that.

-Amazing storyline that bests 95% of the movies that are out there
-extremely impressive setting and atmosphere that are sure to captivate and amaze
-great and impressive online that truly evolves the way tactical battles are fought onlines
MGS is ta shiznat
Halo
-Xbox (1, I know the 360 has a few good exclusives) exclusive that deosn’t suck
-good graphics
-amazing online thats fun.
