media player 11 plays some mpeg file at too faster rate

I built a new PC and installed windows media player 11. I have divx codec installed. For some mpeg files , the player always plays them at a very faster speed (almost like fast forward). The same mpeg file plays fine in VLC player but Real player also shows the same problem

I can play avi or wmv files without any problem in mp 11.

Any suggestion what codec or update I need to fix this?
