If yes, and your movie is an avi encoded with the DivX codec (and in some cases the xvid codec), all you need to do is burn a data cd-r with the avi file on it and the player will play it.
If it’s not DivX-certified, then you will just have to convert your video file into dvd format, then burn it to a dvd+/-r. There’s a whole market full of products that can do that. Just google for dvd authoring products.
P.S: In many cases if you have a dvd+/-r drive, it will already come with dvd authoring software along with the cd/dvd burning software.
